One good way to pray for others is to remember them "from head to toe." Let me show you what I mean:
There are multiple physical and mental issues for which I can use your prayers:
1. Brain.
Please ask the Lord to continue providing language facility to my brain and lips as 90% of my ministry with leaders and pastors continues in the Portuguese language. As I am staying for shorter periods, the language isn't setting in quite as firmly. But God is faithful and has allowed the Word to go forth.
2. Kidneys.
As most of you know, I am suffering from CKD or chronic kidney disease. I have been receiving dialysis treatments since February 2016. Traveling to South America with the dialysis requirement has been something of a challenge given the availability of dialysis in just a few cities there. While my city visits are limited, the ministry still remains active and thriving.
Thank the Lord for one donor who this month (August) committed funds for completion of four of six dialysis sessions while in Brazil.
3. Lower lumbar vertebrae and hips.
It reminds me of the children's song, "head and shoulders, knees and toes." haha!
I was diagnosed in 2010 with spinal stenosis (which is a narrowing of the spinal column which puts pressure on the spinal cord resulting in severe leg pain) and arthritis in my hips. The combination of the two make walking distances a challenge. I'm grateful for ministry partners in South America who are kind enough to provide rides here and there to different meeting locations and treatment centers. Please pray for this kindness to continue.
Thank you. I will be on the field from August 20 to September 5.
