I need a tee-shirt that says, "I survived November in South America"

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of the November mission trip with JEMS. God was good to sustain me through an intense ministry schedule that included preaching, teaching, visitations, pastors' meetings and dialysis. The heaviness of the schedule was due in part to the planning that I did in anticipation of my serving with another team member. Because of change in that partner's participation, the ministry schedule was doubled as commitments and obligations still needed to be fulfilled. But God remains faithful. Please watch the video that reflects God's care and provision through the mission. Click through to Youtube to see the higher resolution.

Amazingly despite an average of sixteen hour workdays, God showed himself to be faithful to someone who is no longer 40 years old, neither having the natural vigor of youth.

The lyrics of the song “Let Your Kingdom Come” come to mind . . .

Give us Your strength, O God And courage to speak Perform Your wondrous deeds Through those who are weak Lord use us as You want, whatever the test By grace we’ll preach Your gospel Till our dying breath

Singing this praise song this past Sunday at church, I was reminded again how God showed his faithfulness over this mission. Utilizing someone who is hobbled by multiple health issues, but allowing that someone to serve with joy and gusto. I'm both blessed and honored by God's use of my life and gifts to be a minister of the good news of Jesus Christ in South America!

Please pray for me as plans are being considered for a visit to a pastors' conference in the state of São Paulo, as well as visits to national churches in Brazil. This trip may occur (Lord willing) in January 2018.
