Missions training is very much a part of what it means to serve with JEMS in South America. We try as much as possible to prepare our summer volunteers to be effective in their service for Jesus Christ. And as my own mobility is reduced and the missions candidates are coming from other regions of the state or country, I am beginning to make my training available online via YouTube.
An important part of cross-cultural ministry is the ability to build relationship bridges. In this training video, principles are shared from John 4, the encounter between Jesus and the woman at the well.
These principles may be helpful for your own ministry locally as a general view of building bridges with those around your own church community.
